Advocate

Following in her own mother’s footsteps, Deborah has been an advocate for the less fortunate all her life. However, the deeper calling was initiated when she became a mother. Her journey with her daughter challenged her to educated and advocate for the disabled, rare disease, and orphan drug communities.

In 2016, at the age of 10, Deb’s daughter asked for her help to launch a foundation that helped other kiddos like her. Deborah and Avalon currently serve on the boards of The Avalon Foundation whose mission is to care for the emotional and mental well being of pediatric patients receiving painful medical treatments. Through this platform, Deborah and other community leaders are assisting kids in raising awareness, educating, and bringing compassion to these marginalized groups. TAF is also enhancing the Toledo community with their youth leadership program; it is a program BY kids & FOR kids that teaches leadership skills, cultivates compassion, cares for patients, and betters the community. To learn more, visit The Avalon Foundation.

Deborah also works behind the scenes to bring special events and speaking engagements to her Toledo community.

“My mission is to not only assist individuals in his/her/their healing journey,

but to also provide our communities with opportunities

to raise spiritual awareness and build bridges of understanding

toward mindfulness and peace in today’s world.

AWAKENING of one's self and the collective consciousness

is how we reinstate the Sacred Circle of humanity

that abolishes discrimination and injustice by bringing us back into balance.”
